Marriage is healthy regardless of sexuality

Marriage protects heterosexuals, why not then, homosexuals?
The most important reason why homosexuals should be allowed to marry is because they are human beings and they are entitled to every benefit allowed to humans. Some of the spousal benefits are Social Security benefits, health insurance benefits, tax benefits, etc.
Marriage is a legal institution between two people which, of course, does not protect anyone from AIDS or any other sexually transmitted disease. However, being married and being committed to one person does discourage people from sex outside of marriage.
Being truly committed and married to one person and having the benefits of that should not be denied to any human being, heterosexual or homosexual. Marriage is a healthy lifestyle regardless of sexuality.
I am a heterosexual, a wife, a mom, a grandma and a practicing Christian. Jesus said, “Do unto others as you would want them to do unto you.”
I thank God we have judges who will protect the rights of every human being. You sure can't count on most churches and those who pretend they are following our Lord. Read the parables that Jesus told, and try to know what our Lord was telling us.
