DES MOINES – The Iowa bobcat season officially closed at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 21, 2010, when the quota of 250 bobcats was reached.
The bobcat call-in line was updated reflecting the season quota had been filled and the 48-hour grace period went into effect. The grace period will end at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 23.
Trappers will be required to turn over all bobcats caught after that point to the Department of Natural Resources without penalty.
Hunters do not have a grace period.
