From the Twin Cities: It isn't snowing here, but it has snowed. How delightful.

There's something about seeing snow for the first time in several months that makes you want to ... oh, I don't know, go all Bo Pelini on something.
I'm here with my SourceMedia boyz (That's how cool people write "boys," I'm told -- I think it's idiotic and wish I hadn't just done it). Many people love the snow. I like it in a paper cone-shaped cup with colored sugar water on it. Take the "cone" away from "snow cone," and it's of no use to me.
We did see skiiers going down whatever the ski resort is called on I-35 as you draw close to Bloomington and then Minneapolis. The machines were making snow, and the skiiers were zipping down the slopes. It looked like a lot of accidents waiting to happen, like the Alabama defense today in the second-half against Auburn.
I've seen snow more recently than most of you in central/eastern/southern Iowa, I'd guess. I was in Alaska in late July. But the snow was on the mountains, not on the ground annoying people in summer. Snow on mountains = pretty. Snow in hotel parking lot, as pictured here = no darn good.
Fortunately, I don't have to sleep in that parking lot. Although, the night is still young.
