C.R. JEFFERSON 40, CEDAR FALLS 39 - Kaitlyn Davidson's 3-point basket with 59 seconds remaining gave Cedar Rapids Jefferson a 40-39 victory over Cedar Falls last night in a Mississippi Valley Conference girls' basketball game at Cedar Falls.
(1-1, 1-0 MVC) the 40-39 win. Davidson led all scorers with 13 points. Rachel Broghammer pulled down 11 rebounds and Dani Stromert dished out five assists for the J-Hawks (1-1, 1-0 MVC).
Emily Neff led Cedar Falls (1-2, 0-1 MVC) with eight points.
IOWA CITY WEST 83, DUBUQUE SENIOR 51 - Ally Disterhoft scored 22 points to lead all players as Iowa City West posted a Mississippi Valley Conference victory last night at home. Jessica Shull added 13 points for the Women of Troy.
Liz Reuter scored 12 points on four 3-pointers to lead the Rams.
C.R. XAVIER 46, DUBUQUE WAHLERT 41 - Alex Saxen and Krissi Tow each scored 11 points as the Saints improved to 4-0, 1-0 in the Mississippi Valley Conference with a home victory last night.
Amy Ihm scored a game-high 12 points to lead Wahlert.
SOLON 54, MARION 48 - Danielle Herdliska scored a game-high 23 points to lead Solon to its second victory in as many outings last night at Marion.
Dani Payton scored 21 points to lead Marion (1-1).
DUBUQUE HEMPSTEAD 57, C.R. PRAIRIE 50 - Brittani Graves led all scorers with 21 points and Megan Kluesner added 16 as Dubuque Hempstead improved to 2-1, 1-0 in the Mississippi Valley Conference with a home victory last night.
Courteney McCrary and Madison Dellamuth each scored 11 to lead Prairie (1-2, 0-1 MVC).
WATERLOO WEST 58, C.R. KENNEDY 49 - Jayden Spencer scored 25 points to lead Waterloo West to a road Mississippi Valley Conference victory last night at Cedar Rapids Kennedy.
Cortney Strait hit a game-high four 3-pointers en route to a team-high 14 points for Kennedy (0-1, 0-1 MVC).
