North Texas to benefit from ISU’s McCarney

Congrats to Dan McCarney on landing a head football coaching job at North Texas University.
McCarney came to Iowa State, like his former boss Hayden Fry came to Iowa, when the football program was a perpetual loser. McCarney turned the program around. And while Paul Rhoads has the makings of being a good coach at Iowa State, McCarney never should have been fired from ISU, and fanatics like me should have screamed more when Athletics Director Jamie Pollard traded down for Gene Chizik.
McCarney invented Iowa State football, and I hope he reinvents North Texas football.
