French's college decision announced Thursday

Cedar Rapids Kennedy athletics director Aaron Stecker said Monday the school will host a press conference Thursday afternoon at 3 to allow football player Christian French to announce his college plans.
The highest ranked prep recruit in the state, French is deciding between Iowa, Notre Dame and Oregon. The three schools are recruiting him at wide receiver, linebacker and tight end, respectively.
French was recently named a first-team all-state linebacker by the Iowa Newspaper Association. He has been selected to play in the U.S. Army All-American Bowl all-star game Jan. 8 in San Antonio.
The press conference Thursday is expected to be at 3 p.m.
