Collin Olson made 36 saves as the USA Hockey Under-17 team blanked the Cedar Rapids RoughRiders, 3-0, Thursday night in Ann Arbor, Mich.
Team USA got goals from Frankie Vatrano in the first and second periods. Quentin Shore scored short-handed into an empty net for the final margin.
Brady Hjelle took the loss in net for the RoughRiders (14-4-2), who outshot Team USA by a 36-21 margin. Cedar Rapids went 0 for 8 on the power play and is 0 for 15 in its last two games.
The Riders play the USA Hockey Under-18 team Friday night in Ann Arbor.
