Give ‘Pick ’em’ pundits more space in Gazette

The Gazette's “Pick 'ems” panel of pundits is great writing chemistry - a big plus for sports entertainment. Please find a way to include their collective talents in more than (game days) during the football season. Bring us more ageless wisdom and no-nonsense, good stuff.

I can recall (pundit) Bob Brooks' earlier years broadcasting Iowa sports on the radio and still remember his ability to cram a bunch of advertising into a few seconds.

It's an Iowa basketball game in the Ralph Miller coaching era. Here's the call by Brooks: “Chad Calabria steps to the line for two free throws - Sip it slow or gulp it down, Bubble Up hits the spot.
