Mission delivered hope to many for Christmas

The Mission of Hope had a special Christmas celebration Dec. 22. Kurt Warner's foundation, First Things First, made a sizable donation. Many local friends of the Mission also donated financially - 250 food baskets, many toys and new Columbia winter coats were received thankfully by many individuals and families in need.
Many local residents are not aware of what goes on at 1537 First Ave. The faith-based Mission unconditionally loves and serves anyone in need. Services include addiction support, jail ministry, referrals, men's emergency clothes, warm shower, shelter, food, worship services at 5 p.m. Saturdays and 10 a.m. Sundays, and more.
A Mission friend and volunteer says it best: “The Mission of Hope gives me an opportunity to do good. I can relate to people here unlike anywhere else. I would probably be a repeat offender without the Mission.”
