SourceMedia's Jeff Johnson: Paige picks North Carolina

Linn-Mar junior Marcus Paige, one of the mostly highly sought basketball recruits for 2012, has given his oral commitment to North Carolina, reports Jeff Johnson of SourceMedia Group.

Iowa and Iowa State were among the prospective suitors for Paige, a point guard. Paige is the second Iowa high school athlete to pick North Carolina in recent years. North Carolina freshman guard Harrison Barnes is from Ames.
