Pre-game notes: Iowa at Indiana
Feb. 5, 2011 10:58 am
A couple of notes entering today's Iowa-Indiana game here in snowy Bloomington, Ind.:
- Iowa has beaten Indiana three straight, including a 91-77 win two weeks ago in Iowa City. Iowa's only road Big Ten win last year came at Bloomington. The last time Iowa won four straight in the series was from 2004 through 2006.
- Indiana has won three straight home Big Ten games, knocking off Illinois, Minnesota and Michigan. The Hoosiers have won two of their last three games with the only loss coming 84-83 in overtime at Michigan State.
- Iowa is looking for its second straight Big Ten victory for the first time since the Steve Alford era ended after the 2006-07 season.
- This is Iowa's first Big Ten game on a Saturday since Feb. 13, 2010 at Purdue. Iowa has not played a Big Ten home game on a Saturday since Jan. 16, 2010 against Penn State. It was Iowa's only Saturday home appearance last year.
