Iowans living under new inquisition
The Gazette Opinion Staff
Feb. 22, 2011 12:17 pm
Those who from on high are demanding the selling the University of Iowa's Jackson Pollock painting “Mural” are self-ordained members of a new inquisition, not public servants holding office in goodwill and understanding of the interests of individuals.
For them, art and even education itself are suspect to begin with, and to them “Mural” is meaningless and the same kind of obscenity as is the love of a homosexual for another, be it their chosen one or even his or her children.
So prepare to live within a new Holy Order being divined in the Iowa House of Representatives and best trim your thoughts, dreams and affections to fit their will or you too will soon enough stand in judgment by the inquisition. Three of the highest judges in the state provoked their wrath and have been condemned to suffer just deserts.
