CLASS 2A SEMIFINAL
#8 Monticello (25-1) vs. #1 Ida Grove OA-BCIG (24-0)

Coaches: Donnie Kremer is 153-64 in nine years at Monticello. Patrick Miller is at his fifth school. He is 174-26 in eight years at BCIG and OA-BCIG and 297-101 in 18 years overall.
Key players: Brooke Stahlberg (5-6, jr.) leads Monticello at 12.4 points per game. Kelsie Etten (5-9, sr.) adds 8.5 points and 6.3 rebounds. Four Falcons average in double figures, led by Jessie Pauley (5-10, jr.) at 20.7 points per game.
How they got here: Monticello advanced with a 56-49 win over Mount Ayr. OA-BCIG got a test from IKM-Manning before prevailing, 54-50.
CLASS 3A SEMIFINAL
#2 Mount Vernon (23-2) vs. #6 DeWitt Central (24-2)
Time: 7:45 p.m.
Coaches: Bob Kintzel is 84-13 in four years at Mount Vernon. Mark Kurtz is 78-37 in five years at Central, 139-107 overall.
Key players: Taylor Dicus (6-2, sr.) paces Mount Vernon at 12.6 points per game while Amanda Platte (6-1, sr.) adds 12.3. Lindsay Smith (5-10, sr.) leads the Sabers at 16.5 points per game, but injured a knee in the first round and is most likely out. Jen Keitel (6-2, sr.) adds 14.8 ppg.
How they got here: Mount Vernon handled Benton Community, 53-38 in the first round. DeWitt Central beat MOC-Floyd Valley, 47-37. The teams split in the regular season.
