Ranger could enforce no-wake rule

Regarding a Feb. 27 letter from Steve Callaway: He lives on Lake Macbride so you can see why he wants to keep things the way they are. If you look at the motors on those fancy pontoon boats parked on the north side of the lake, you will find that motors on some of them look way too big to be a little 10 horse. These people want their private lake during the summer (when the motor size restriction is in place) and they will fight to keep it.
We all agree the state owns that lake and put taxpayer money into it. No-wake is a good rule, and it seems to work on all other lakes where it's used, so why not Lake Macbride?
The state pays for a park ranger to stay at the lake. If people are breaking the no-wake rule, the park ranger could write them a ticket. Or the Department of Natural Resources officer who is out there.
