WATCH: Public art ideas featured at Ignite Cedar Rapids event
CEDAR RAPIDS – Visual Arts Commission Chairman Jim Kern welcomed a standing-room only crowd at Gatherings.
This purpose of the event, Kern said, is to generate ideas about public arts and to keep it going.
The commission will not endorse any project presented tonight, but will follow through with any interest.
“I'm absolutely delighted to see so much interest in public art,” said master of ceremonies Timothy Hankewich.
