We need new leaders bring about change
The Gazette Opinion Staff

For the last 30 years, the middle class and poor have been losing ground. With tax cuts for the rich to loop holes for the rest, our corporations have been shipping our jobs and businesses to China to avoid federal taxes.
Another major problem is subsidies to oil companies while they make billions and our farmers with record profits enjoy subsidies, also.
The Republican Party is no longer the party of Lincoln. They are trying to extend their stay in office. Our Supreme Court helps them with the newest law, which allows virtually unlimited campaign money to be funneled their way.
The very rich buy out our senators and congressmen who are nothing but hired men for lobbyists and billionaires.
It is time for the public to demand campaign money limits and term limits. If our presidency has term limits, why not our other politicians? This would bring new leaders into office and needed change.
Our Founding Fathers would be sickened to see the injustice and abuse of public office and the great divide in our political system.
