NPS should generate its own money
The Gazette Opinion Staff

I used to listen to NPR all of the time, and often sent them money to subsidize their programs. When NPR fired Juan Williams, I quit doing that as he was the best reporter NPR had.
I have since boycotted NPR. The popular programs, such as “Click and Clack,” and a few others can be picked up by select radio stations that are interested in quality programming.
I resent NPR and public television taking time out from their programming every few months to solicit money. The solution: sell more ads, do not be quite so biased in opinions, and offer a product that will generate income on its own merit so NPR does not have to go begging or be subsidized with our tax money.
