Vote no for local-option sales tax

It seems as though our City Council members are drunk with power. It's high time to send them to extortion detox by voting “no” on the Local-option sales tax (LOST) extension or any other taxes until they learn to respect and properly control the purse strings of our city. They should do without just as many of us are forced to do without.
Just how much are we expected to bear in these disastrous economic times before our backs fracture beneath the burden? Let our votes set the standard and establish common sense since our City Council doesn't seem to possess it.
