Little of virtue about ‘Cedar Rapids’
The Gazette Opinion Staff
Apr. 7, 2011 12:05 pm
While visiting a relative in Florida recently, I had a chance to see the movie “Cedar Rapids.” To say I was disappointed is an understatement. Having read earlier reviews when the film was unveiled in Cedar Rapids, I was expecting better
The movie reflected negatively not only on marriage and family life, the insurance industry and the Christian faith, but on the city of Cedar Rapids as a whole. Not that our community or I are perfect examples to the rest of our nation, but this movie offers very little of a virtuous nature.
“Cedar Rapids” does not portray the Cedar Rapids I've come to know and respect.
