What C.R. leaders must do to earn May 3 vote

I am one taxpayer who has no trust in our mayor or City Council. We have been misled so many times of things they promised and then somehow didn't happen. Now they are asking that we say “yes” to extending the local-option sales tax (May 3).
I want some type of guarantee by the mayor and City Council that if I vote yes, that they will give property taxpayers relief. So far all I have read is that our taxes are going to rise again. They just raised our assessed value and then increased the tax base.
If I don't get a guarantee in print so we can hold you to your promises, you get a no vote from me and hopefully from other homeowners, too.
