Is media asking right questions about budget?
The Gazette Opinion Staff

Is the news media asking the right questions about a government shutdown still pending? Why are the media and our local news accounts pointing to the Republican leadership as standing in the way of an agreement? Are they asking the right questions or are they carrying water for the Democrats and President Obama?
Why haven't the Democrats been asked: “Is it so important that taxpayer money go to Planned Parenthood and PBS that you are risking not paying our soldiers? Or, risking closing the parks, denying vacationers of their beauty?
Charles Schumer, Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi, Barney Frank, Debbie Wasserman Schultz, President Obama - what say you? The Democrats had the numbers to pass their budget last October when it should have been passed. Why didn't they? Ask it! Sen. Schumer (D-NY) has stated that the Tea Partyers are radical. Hmmm? Is it radical to demand a smaller and more efficient government? Is it radical to demand that government spend less taxpayer money? Is it radical to demand government prioritize programs?
Beware the “narrative” - criticize, marginalize, demonize! It happens every time the Dems/leftist/progressives - whatever - find a group that disagrees with their position. Are there any journalists with any critical thinking skills? If not, we are lost.
