Loebsack shows support for women’s rights

Recently, the House leadership pushed a bill to take all federal funding away from Planned Parenthood and deny millions of women across America basic health care services. I don't understand this. Taking funding away from birth control, cancer screenings and health exams would result in increased unintended pregnancies, increased cancer deaths, heart attacks and strokes, and untreated sexually transmitted infections.
While this bill passed the House, I'm grateful to Congressman Dave Loebsack for standing up for a woman and voting no. Thankfully, this bill did not pass in the Senate and Planned Parenthood will continue to provide services for those in need.
