Don’t inflict hardship of tax on residents
The Gazette Opinion Staff
Apr. 30, 2011 10:46 am
How can anyone with a loving, compassionate heart vote a tax onto the backs of tens of thousands of fellow residents (and children) for 20 years, knowing full well that they cannot afford it?
Your “yes” vote Tuesday would cause children and elderly folks on fixed incomes to suffer, many will perhaps even have to go without food, clothing or medicine. God didn't give you life to be mean-spirited to those less fortunate than yourself by voting a tax on anyone. (That's what He created a Democratic Party for.)
This City Council has wanted way too much money to cover its grandiose ideas; don't give it one cent more.
