Lawmakers, take action on sales tax loopholes

Here we go again, an election to see if the voters want to raise the sales tax. There is an election every other November to vote for state representatives or senators to take care of this for us.
If these people that we send to Des Moines would take care of the loopholes in the state's 6 percent sales tax that we pay, just maybe Cedar Rapids and Linn County would have no need to have this special election Tuesday.
