I haven’t stopped believing in recovery

I believe we all, on both sides of the river, are important, needed and valued as residents of Cedar Rapids. I also believe that we are voting on the best, though not perfect, alternative for flood control available at this time to save all of our neighborhoods.
We have accomplished so much and are admired by many around the country for our hard work, belief in neighbors and perseverance.
I am saddened by those who have stopped believing in recovery of our entire city, and have lost dreams of a vibrant, healthy community providing potential for all.
We can heal and move on. I believe in the future of this city. I am tired of being held hostage by a few and urge my neighbors to save our city by voting yes on the sales tax extension.
