CEDAR RAPIDS - A Central City man won the top prizes in two of the Iowa Lottery's instant-scratch games in April.
After claiming his $30,000 prize playing 'Lucky Lines' on April 5, Douglas Gummeson, 58, again won $30,000 playing 'Crossword.' Gummeson said he hadn't spent any of his winnings from the first prize, and winning a second time was shocking. However, he said he's definitely a lucky guy; he won in 2008 as well.
Gummeson added he hasn't made any definite plans for his winnings, but is thinking about taking a trip.
