18-year-old woman struck by train in Allamakee County

LANSING – The Allamakee County Sheriff's Office says a female was struck by a train south of Lansing Saturday afternoon after fishing off a railroad bridge.
The sheriff's office only identified the person as an 18-year-old female. She was airlifted to a hospital in Lacrosse, Wis., and her condition is unknown.
Authorities say she was fishing off the bridge and was trying to retrieve fishing gear when she was struck by a southbound train.
No other details were available.
