Welcome to Cedar Rapids, ‘the city of no’
The Gazette Opinion Staff

Well, here we are all living in “the city of no”, as my wife and I have been referring to our metro area.
As we all rumble along on our Third World streets and watch Cedar Rapids struggle to attract businesses to the anemic downtown district, we can be proud we won't be relying on visitors and business travelers to help pay for a flood control program, or help recondition our infrastructure.
I read Mr. Pugh's remarks after the vote was tallied. His group claims to have a plan to better bring about flood control. I hope this is so!
