Are we just serving others or serving God?

“Woe unto them that are wise in their own eyes and prudent in their own sight ...,” Isaiah 5:21, for these people ignore the smallest scriptural truth in the Bible and seek only to glorify their group or themselves above the god of Abraham.
A Sunday letter titled “There will be a Rapture, we just don't know when” used Scripture to instruct and this needs to be heard/read more often than it has been publicly. Unfortunately, many Christians have been conditioned to be like apes covering their eyes, ears and mouths. They want to be “peacemakers” more than they desire to teach the Gospel message to the world.
For the sake of harmony, they neglect to present complete scriptural truth, and these omissions of God's word have done more damage than can be explained here.
On May 25, Oprah Winfrey shared her faith in God with the sincerity of a “peacemaker” beyond reproach, but she hasn't always lifted up her audience's eyes to the whole truth of the Bible.
Yes, she opened eyes to the compassionless neighbors, the ignorance that can fan fear's spark into hatred's flame, but still more could have been said to reveal Biblical truth to the world.
“ ... Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth ...” (John 17:17).
