Tap student resource for needed buglers

I recently learned from the chief of police honor guard that buglers are becoming scarce. For many years, I attended small town services where the American Legion did the flag honors and students blew “Taps,” with a haunting echo from a distance.
Tap into local schools and college; a trumpeter can bugle. Perhaps a one-year stint for Memorial and Veterans days, with rotation for funerals. Wear their Sunday best or for more formal units, a jacket and appropriate headgear, maybe honorary memberships.
