Garbage spies at work in Cedar Rapids

Beware Cedar Rapidians, the garbage gestapo is on the prowl.

If you have more than one Yardy, they will take them away from you. I had an extra Yardy given to me by a neighbor and they took it. They assumed I had stolen it. I always thought you were innocent until proven guilty.

Also, you all know the rule that you must have your garbage out to the curb by 7 a.m. The gestapo has spies driving around checking to see if your garbage is out by that time. Even if they are picking up in your area by 8:30 a.m. or even later, if yours wasn't out by 7 a.m. they will not pick it up.

These people are paid by our taxes and the already too-high fees on our water bills. I wonder if our esteemed City Council knows about this.
