Man flees from Cedar Rapids jewelry store with tray of earrings
Cedar Rapids police are searching for a man they say snatched a tray of jewelry.
It happened at Siegel's, 3525 First Ave. SE. According to authorities, a black male was inside the store looking at some diamond earrings when he grabbed them and ran out the front door.
The suspect reportedly dashed around the building and got into a car with two other men. Police say the suspect made off with about five pairs of diamond earrings worth about $3,000.
The investigation and search continues.
