On July 2, 1970, Joe Hague (Cedar Rapids Cardinals – 1966) went 2-4 at the plate with a pair of HR, five RBI, a walk and scored a pair of runs in the St. Louis Cardinals 13-10 loss to the Montreal Expos.
Joe Hague hit .239 with 40 HR and 163 RBI during his six year MLB career playing for the St. Louis Cardinals and the Cincinnati Reds.
Joe Hague hit .251 with 9 HR and 24 doubles in 119 games for the 1966 Cedar Rapids Cardinals squad. The team finished 81-40 in 1st place during the regular season under manager Ron Plaza. The Cedar Rapids Cardinals fell to Fox Cities 2 games to 1 in the Championship Series.
