Iowans accused of selling one ton of marijuana

Ten people in eastern Iowa face federal drug charges for allegedly growing and selling 2,000 pounds of marijuana over the last nine years.
Moline television station WQAD-TV reports that three of the defendants were arraigned Friday in U.S. District Court in Davenport. Prosecutors also have filed a forfeiture notice to seize any property that was used in the alleged drug ring.
The defendants are Sabrina Cochran Thompson; her son, Jason Mueller; James McCulloch; Jamie Miller; Nathan Ozman; Michael Ozman; Monsanto Jordan; Daniel Pastrana; and Jesus Sanchez Tarin.
All have pleaded not guilty. Their trial date is set for August 2011.
