I'm from the Philippines and have been here under the Program of Academic Exchange (PAX) in Cedar Rapids since August.
As my year in Iowa is ending, I thank God for giving me a great opportunity to spend a year in the USA. I'm thankful for my loving and caring host parents, Tim and Sara Skinner, who opened their hearts to me. To Caleb and Joshua, who showed me their love as my brothers.
I'm really glad and proud to have been a Linn-Mar student. I'd like to thank Principal Dr. Jeff Gustason for accepting me into the school. To my beloved teachers, my counselor, faculty members and friends for making it possible for me to have a great experience as an American student.
It was a pleasure to have a sweet coordinator, Rayetta Fetter. Thank you for all your hard work. Also, thanks to Amy Russell, a temporary coordinator.
Thank you to all the friendly Iowans who treated me with great care and showed interest in me and my country. I'm going to cherish the fun memories and I'm going to miss you.
