Santorum builds message in Iowa

The decades-long decline in manufacturing has had a profound affect on blue-collar pockets like southeast Iowa and western Pennsylvania.
To lead a resurgence in manufacturing, Republican presidential candidate Rick Santorum launched his “Courage to Fight for American Jobs” tour Tuesday at Winegard Co.
Santorum, a former U.S. senator from Pennsylvania, laid out in little more than 20 minutes, his multiple-point plan for restoring jobs. He is the first declared 2012 presidential candidate to make a campaign stop in Burlington.
