We're about halfway through summer vacation by now and boredom is setting in, right? Well, then join Central Corridor Gamers (CCG) for our Magic: The Gathering 2012 Core Set Pre-Release tournament. This event will allow participants to see cards from the 2012 set one week before its official release. We boast the fact that our Pre-Release tournament has the lowest entry fee of any tournament of this kind in the region. Video Games, Etc! has kindly supported our gaming efforts for nearly 10 years now and we appreciate all that they do to make our favorite hobby, Magic: The Gathering fun and affordable. We also thank the Matthew 25 group for use of their Groundswell facilities.
Beginning at 2:30 on Sunday, July 10th, participants may join us at 225 K Ave. NW, Suite G. Our entry fee will be a mere $15 and will cover everything you need to play in the event (Most tournaments like this cost $25-$30 to play). Paid participants also receive a special promotional card that is only available at events such as this. The tournament event will begin at 3:00 sharp so be there on time to ensure your seat. There are only 36 spots available so don't be late! Participants that show positive sportsmanship, volunteer to set up tables and chairs, or bring in new players can earn entries into a door prize drawing. Prizes include packs of cards and cool gaming supplies.
Don't know how to play yet? We have everything you need to learn how to play. We can even provide you with a deck that you can take home to practice with! While you're learning about the fun and excitement that Magic: The Gathering can provide, we invite you to make a few friends and discover new opportunities along the way.
