GOP only cares about wealthiest Americans

Republicans have made it very clear from the statehouse to the hall of Washington, D.C. - they are only interested in representing the wealthiest 1 percent of Americans. They could not care less about the unemployed, the poor, the elderly or anyone whose wealth has less than eight figures.

It baffles me why some poor schlub who can barely support his family on the low wages that Republicans foist on the economy would continue to vote for that party. Republicans not only won't help them, they intentionally foster policies that make it more difficult for such a person to ever advance.

Now, once again, Republicans are putting

this country in peril in order to protect their

donors, the top 1 percent of Americans, from paying their fair share for all the benefits the rich derive from our government.

Since Barack Obama has been president, Republicans have done all they can to torpedo any recovery on the theory that voters will blame the president. Any thinking voter should be able to see that it is the Republican Party that is at fault. Reward them accordingly and send them to the unemployment lines next year.
