Regina, Clear Creek Amana playing for state titles

Iowa City Regina and Clear Creek Amana are among the eight teams playing for Iowa high school state softbal titles today at Rogers Sports Complex in Fort Dodge.
Regina plays West Burlington in the Class 2A championship at 5 p.m., right after the Clippers take on Winterset in the 3A title tilt at 3 p.m.
Both games, along with the 4A and 1A championships, will be televised live by KCRG 9.2.
Clear Creek Amana advanced to the championship game with a 7-2 win over Dallas Center-Grimes while Regina topped second-ranked Bondurant-Farrar, 5-4.
In other championship games today, Ankeny takes on Des Moines East at 1 p.m. in Class 4A and Akron-Westfield meets North Kossuth/Armstrong-Ringstead at 7 p.m. in Class 1A.
