Dozens of dogs rescued from central Iowa trailer

A West Des Moines shelter has taken in around three dozen dogs that were taken from a trailer home in Bevington, where they'd lived with their owner.

Furry Friends Refuge executive director Britt Gagne says the man lived there alone and clearly was unable to care for even one or two dogs.

Gagne says there was food and trash all over the trailer. The man has moved out of the trailer because of the unsanitary conditions.

Gagne says some of the dogs are ready for adoption.
