Ski team just as athletic as others

Kudos to the Five Seasons Ski Team on a spectacular season of free entertainment for people of all ages.
Right here on the Cedar River, these 50-plus people provide a weekly show from Memorial Day through Labor Day. This year, it took third place in the districts. Nick Walters was named the most outstanding host, The team's five-tiered action was awarded the “Top Act” in the competition.
The Gazette barely touched it, opting instead of more photos of preseason football players. Taking nothing from them, the ski team practices year-round and its physical fitness and athletic ability can be compared with any other sport. This outstanding group of volunteers deserves better coverage.
