In her words, Iowa’s Wahlin on basketball tour, Part X

Bonjour!

I decided to make today another event-filled day in Paris.  I saw a lot of sights and had a great day.

Some of the team started the day with a trip to the Palace of Versailles.  A few people took a tour of the palace.  I took my own tour and walked around the castle.  It was a fun way to spend the first part of the day.

On the way back, some of us stopped by The Louvre and had some pastries.  They were amazing!

The afternoon was filled with more sightseeing.  We headed up the big hill in Paris to see Moulin Rouge and the Montmarte shopping area.  We had dinner at a local café in Montmarte and shopped around the local places.  Some of us bought bracelets at a unique shop and I purchased a few things for my sister's classroom.  She is an elementary school teacher at Kirkwood Elementary in Coralville.

Tomorrow is our last day in Paris and the last day of our trip.  We play a local club team tomorrow night and some of us are going to get one more morning of sightseeing in before we leave Europe.  We are all anxious to get back on the court to play another game.
