Pow wow deserved more publicity

We attended the pow wow at Tama on Aug. 12. The attendance fee and the food and drinks were very reasonable. Also, the colorful and elaborate costumes worn by the young and aged were beautiful as they danced to storytelling music.
I was disappointed they didn't get more publicity and no media coverage that I know of. I guess the Native Americans got as much respect as they did in the 1800s.
