C.R. needs leaders who care about residents

Our City Council members need to get their priorities straight. They believe we need to buy hotels, build a new convention center, build a new library, plus ensure that the downtown area gets remodeled. What about our city streets?
Why redo the downtown area, supposedly to get more tourists to visit our city, and then have these people come in and drive on our washboard, potholed streets. Is the city going to pay for repairs to these vehicles?
This city government is just as bad as the state and federal government. Spend money we don't have and for things we don't need or want. All we hear is that we are close to another economic recession but our leaders seem to keep spending money that we don't have. They want to tax the little people and let the rich and business people pay less tax.
Come election time, let's start weeding these high rollers out of office and get people in who really care about the little people.
