Miller shouldn’t go easy on mortgage handlers

According to recent news reports, Iowa's Attorney General Tom Miller appears to be leading an effort to severely limit investigation and prosecution of various people and corporations involved in the unfolding mortgage debacle. Trillions of dollars are involved, the investigations are just beginning to ramp up, massive amounts of fraud have been admitted and the court rulings are starting to turn against these groups. Rulings that may cloud over half the mortgages in the nation.
Is Iowa really that desperate for its share of the relatively small settlement that it will help these criminals escape prosecution?
