I endorse Allen Witt for the Cedar Rapids school board. He will put in the hard work needed to help promote our kids' future.
I have seen first hand how Witt can tackle hard issues, listen intently and use a level head to arrive at wise decisions.
Having the district remain focused on offering a high-quality education with innovation at the core is the path to a bright future for our kids to be able to compete globally. Witt is in tune with this concept as he and his family moved to Cedar Rapids from Florida 11 years ago because of Iowa's outstanding education system.
It is his belief in high-quality education that leads him to devote time and energy to our school district.
Witt has worked with me during the recovery phase of the flood of 2008 through the Cedar Rapids Area Chamber of Commerce during a crucial time in our city's history. He was always focused on working as a team for the greater good of the community.
I believe Witt will be an outstanding leader for our school district.
