CEDAR RAPIDS -- For the fourth consecutive year, CRST International Inc. has been listed on the InformationWeek 500, a list of the top technology innovators in the United States.
The Cedar Rapids-based privately-held transportation company is ranked No. 19 on the annual list, which was released this week at the InformationWeek 500 conference awards in Dana Point, Calif.
Steve Hannah, chief information officer at CRST, said the company takes pride in the technology solutions it employs and the impact they have for the business.
"The communications system implemented this year for our driving force created efficiencies, reduced costs, and fostered driver safety," Hannah said in a statement. "We are committed to ensuring our technology is innovative and up to date, to support the business.
"These solutions pave the way for continued growth and providing better services to our customers."
Dave Rusch, president and chief executive officer of CRST International, said being ranked in the top 20 with some of the country's most innovative companies is quite humbling.
"Technology plays a pivotal role in our business by ensuring we have the tools and resources in place to be safe, efficient and provide outstanding service to our customers," Rusch said.
CRST International, one of the largest privately-owned transportation companies in the country, provides a broad array of transportation solutions through its five operating companies, including van, flatbed and dedicated, as well as brokerage, transportation management services and high value product white glove moving services.
