A Lone Tree man is accused of willful injury causing bodily injury, a Class D felony, after authorities say he allegedly attacked his father at their home Friday.
Records indicate that Brian K. Noel, 27, of 501 S. Riggs St., allegedly threw his father to the ground and choked him at their home at 4 p.m. Friday.
Authorities say the man told officers that he "felt like he was going to die" during the incident and indicated that he was experiencing pain in his neck and throat.
According to the Johnson County Sheriff's Office, several witnesses said they later saw Noel slash the tires of his ex-girlfriend's car at 10:22 p.m. Friday. The witnesses told authorities they were able to take the knife from Noel before he fled the scene on foot.
Noel was being held at the Johnson County Jail on a $160,000 cash bond Sunday morning.
He also faces charges of domestic abuse assault with intent or displaying a weapon and third-degree criminal mischief.
