Mathis will be independent voice

I wondered how we'd ever replace Swati Dandekar. She worked for Iowans with no thought of party affiliation.
I believe Liz Mathis also will be an independent voice for us. Mathis has appeal to all kinds of people. She is a mom who is interested in preschool and education for all Iowa kids. She sat on a college board and worked at Four Oaks - more interest in our kids, students and families.
Mathis knows the issues facing businesses, since her husband is a local business owner who employs 50 people. She has a plan of tax incentives for businesses to attract more high-tech employees to our area and reward local businesses who hire Iowans.
I like the idea that a Democrat with an independent view will be working for me in the Legislature.
