Wasson’s ideas needed in a city leader

With trash building up in the streets, we couldn't find money to collect it, but we could buy/build a hotel/convention center. With houses bulldozed and property not cleaned up, we could build an amphitheater. You get the idea.
I went to the Oct. 19 at-large forum. One of the candidates, a City Council clone, wanted to equate the city skyline to Chicago or San Francisco. That will not happen, nor do you want it.
By now you should get it. This is a pitch for Justin Wasson. He may have been the youngest on the panel but his logic and ideas were some of the best. The city needs to do something with its roads. His comments on the library were sound. A library is a repository for books, not necessarily a thing of beauty, and not in the flood plain.
We need someone to worry about taxes as the present council seems to spend what it has, then ask for more.
